Evaluation of Global Opportunity for a New Wood & MDF Surfacing System

A leading manufacturer of surfacing solutions developed a new product with unique surfacing capabilities for wood and MDF products. Although not a traditional client, Pöyry was identified as having superior knowledge on wood panels surfacing solutions due to extensive work carried out in this field globally, as well as the production of multi client reports covering global developments in surfacing materials. Pöyry worked with the manufacturer to identify markets where their new application would enjoy the greatest market opportunity. After a global evaluation, Southern China was identified as one of the locations providing a strong potential. The company successfully developed a business based in Southern China.
